The Sichuan earthquake in 2008 devastated a vast area of land including Wenchuan, Beichuan and Mianyang.  Uncountable homes were ruined and a lot of children lost their families.  This disaster, aroused concern from people all around the world.  Moved by the need, Gratia Foundation and CCHC established the third children home especially for the affected children.  It is located at Zitong County, Mianyang City.  The project commenced in September 2008.  There were a number of incidents that caused at least five months delays on the project.  The children home finally completed and admitted the first batch of children in August 2010, all these were possible because of the sincere support from Mianyang government authority.  The opening ceremony was held on 8 January 2011.

We would like to extend our gratitude to our supporters, many of them are Christians who committed to support the huge construction costs and our on-going operating expenses.  Following the spirit of "inspiring love and respect for life", we endeavour to take good care of the children staying at the children home, help them grow up healthily and be a grateful person happy to contribute to the country and help build a harmonious society.
